Tor's Fundraiser for Campden Home Nursing

My Story
How we die matters. Campden Home Nursing helps people near the end of their life and those that are left behind.
My Mum was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. She had an operation and remained in hospital for two months where she died much sooner than expected, in January 2021. During her final two months, I was allowed just one brief visit. Neither by brother or sister were allowed to visit. This was hard to bear. When she needed us most, we couldn't be there.
This was in stark contrast to the situation of my friends, Bob and Diane Mason, who were supported by the incredible Campden Home Nursing when Bob was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The charity enabled them to make the best use of their limited time. They stayed together at home with support from the nurses.
Bob died at home on Father’s Day 2020 with his family around him. This mattered deeply and helped immensely. Without the support of Campden Home Nursing, he would have been in hospital and completely alone. Diane is forever grateful for the kindness shown to Bob and their family.
Diane has been fundraising for them. I wish to support her to help them continue their important work.
Why Donate?
Your donation will help local people living with a life-limiting illness to stay in their own homes for as long as possible with hospice at-home services. You will be helping to provide free registered nursing care, and holistic support.
Their hub in Campden, called Jecca’s House, is a positive, caring, bright place for those suffering and recovering from illness.
I am happy to support this worthy cause. I want to help others receive the best death and support possible.
It was Mum's Birthday on March 19th. I know she would be proud of me for running my first marathon and for fundraising. And so would beautiful Bob!
Thank you for reading this. And if you can, for donating and supporting this important local charity.
Thank you. 👍
