My Story

Hello there.  I obtained a place in the Virtual 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon some many months ago with the vague idea of doing my first ever one. I lost my wife Jean to cancer just over 2 years ago. I want to do it in memory of her, to raise money for Campden Home Nursing and I can vouch for the fantastic work they do  - not just for adults but families and children too.

Suddenly the day is looming, the training is painful and my creaking joints and muscles tell me there there will be a fair bit of walking involved!
